snowy monday

Due to the blizzard on sunday afternoon and flurries overnight,
This is what we woke up to on Monday morning, van was completely frozen underneath the snow. This has not happened for the past ten years and the city pretty much shut down on Monday - no work + no school + tonnes of snow = FUN!!!

So everybody went to beacon hill park on a snow FUN day!!

so went snowboarding down the hill - there were tonnes of ppls there playing boogie board or some of them even slided down with piece of cardboard and tyre tube-sure! that works too!!

got my ass and body slammed a few times - no actually almost every single time i went down the hill, whole body is aching today, and i sprained my neck good... sighhh after all, im an Aunty, tak boleh tahan all this unlike 10 yrs ago....but it was fuN!

the 5th attempts -finally posted!!

this is my fifth time for the past few days trying to write an entry - but somehow got distracted and couldnt get anything written down.

now, anything big happened in the past 5 days.......??

not that i can remember right now.

oh yea! the coops in schneider electrics are organizing "pie a manager raffle" to spice up the food bank challenge. Here are the deals: $5 donation to the food bank and you get to throw name of a manager in the box of "managers" to get pied, and ur name in the "executioner" box. On the execution day - 8 managers name will be drawn from the "manager" box to be pied - if we raised more than 300$, all the coop students get pied too! As far as im concern, there's this "top" guy gunning on us.

So yup, all 5 of us, 8 teamleaders and 1 GM are getting pied next thursday!

anyone got cream pie being thrown on their face b4? how does it feel...and wat precaution should i take? ermm ..nono, im not nervous.....

is nov 26th and victoria is covered with snow right now - last week it was 13 degree and is zero today, will get as low as -7 next week...is insane weather one of the global warming effects? *shrug* all i know is im taking the bus tomorrow, not driving in this condition. Most stores is closed today and so are we. Had fun in snow ball fighting and rolling around the snow in the park...esp pooky, he was having the best time ever! ...............apparently snow taste yummy!?!?!

Good let out

I had a good "let out" session last night.

somebody pissed me off real bad yesterday, and came home in a pissy mood. Darling was the unfortunate one to put a small fire onto a big big pot of gasoline, and i erupted, stormed out the house and left him with all the question marks in his mind.

As I was crying and driving around in the car, I wanted somebody there...somebody who will just keep quiet and just be there with me. So i turned back and grabbed pooky. But then of coz b4 i could drive away darling was there to stop me - with the same shocking face and asked me wats going on - so i cried, i yelled, i complaint, and then cried and yelled more...

I noticed I hadnt been doing that for long time, kinda scared myself, and the reason wasnt just that somebody that pissed me off, it involved alot of stress too. I was just letting everybit of it out and really glad I did that......as psycho as I was, i felt so much better just almost instantly. and then I had fun and got really drunk =)

Thank you darling for being there to stroke my back, listening to me and comfort me.

sorry pooky, you looked really worried starring at me yesterday and thank you for those kisses.

I will do that more often, instead of keeping everything inside and let them accumulate. Isnt it healthier that way?

I had a good day at work today, I always liked Thursday, because it is my weekly check-in with my supervisor, and I always got alot of compliments from him. They made me feel good, made me feel that my hard work is acknowledged, coz im really busting my ass off there. No obligation at all, I enjoy every bit of it.

Had a long chat with John - my office "room mate", I told him that im stubborn sometime, in terms of my education and career path - u know how ppls sometime find themselves changing their interest as they grow? But i ve been trying hard to stay on the same path. I always tot i liked Telecommunication, wireless, (i still do!) but John made me realized something - what you like right now will be different 10 yrs from now. and He's so right, how would i know if i keep constraining myself in a box? i gotto get out there to explore. And im really lucky to be able to join this company because it made me dig out this new perception and curiosity towards computers, software!- John had been there for 6 yrs and he said it is one of the very few places he worked that made him feel happy going to work every morning. to me, that is the killer - how many of them out there actually loving their job?

I will be looking out for the opportunities from schneider - and it is going to be a huge sterling swirl, im nervous...

BORAT - A "must watch''!!

Went for the most hilarious , funniest movie ever just now - Borat , when we first drove to the cinema parking lot, we were all shocked by the crazy crowd, so without knowing what "BORAT" is all about, i was very curious to find out, turned out i laughed so hard in that 82 minutes and i swear, if this was a long ass lord of the ring length movie....i would hv been soooooooooo drained at the end of the movie..actually the truth is , i was kinda exhausted! there are scenes that waaaaaaaaaaaaay crossed over the line, they were funny, disgusting and...and... and... reeeally DISGUSTING!!!

received sms from kelly few days ago asking us to send daimoku to KT who has been suffering from MS for the past...i dunno how long, and he was dying, no actually he passed away two days go...The first time i met him, it was 10 yrs ago and he was around 8 /9. That was even b4 i met kelly....I stayed at my cousin's place for a month and we will ride bicycles around the neighbourhood, and KT is usually carried by his older brother KW on the bike (he wasnt able to walk then), and KW has been always very protective about him.

I dunno him that much personally, years after that i saw him in kelly house every now and then during occasions, and he's a brilliant kid! sad to hear that he's gone, that kinda made me treat my neighbour Tom nicer, when he came over two days ago to pass us something, Tom is suffering from MS too, but he's still able to walk, struggling though, mostly depends on his walker.

I dunno why am i being hooo haa about all these. I always know there are more ppls who are more ill than me, its the fact indeed! But seeing all these actually reminded me, ah lee stop all your "why me? why me?" questions. Face it, and treat it. and I am, once doesnt work, twice...or more...life is only so short, no?

anyway may KT rest in peace....

We know we cant avoid office politics, not esp in a company with more than 300 employees... I had never be more careful in my life in terms of communicating with ppl...esp as an intern, the lowest lowest position, as low as the green green grass...

feel like singing on the top of my lung..i want peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~~~~ peaaaaaaaaceeeeeeeee rolling~~~~~~~but then of coz schneider is great! just that i dont think my sampatness is appropriate.

Anyway some update on the REAL halloween day, Schneider threw an awesome event! games, snacks, drinks and the highlight of all, COSTUME CONTEST! now because we were on a different building, not many ppls from the software showed up (let alone taking part), but of coz we did...hehehe it was so crowded and costume fashion show was great! thre was this girl dressed up as Paris Hilton with stuff toy tinkerbell, and man in box, lotsa pirates and vampires. And i stuck my head in a big bucket of water, outside maybe 4 or 5 degrees, trying to pick an apple out with my mouth..it was a challenge and of coz i lost , guys trust me, is not as easy as it look, i actually cheated, i failed to get a hold of any of the apples, so i bit on the stamp of an apple and finally got it out in like dunno how many seconds coz tat girl didnt bother to count anymore as it took me freaking long...

but it was fun!!!

I cannot believe that I had missed 5 or 6 episodes of America's Next Top Model, ah lee, get back to your TV routine!! im missing all these goodies! but i caught the episode tonight, a recap one, that kinda keep my back in the track... now i have something to look forward on every wednesday, 8 pacific on city TV!!!

Halloween Doggie costume contest

Halloween is next tuesday, but everybody is having their pre-halloween day on the weekend. So there will be two piles of photos : doggie costumes VS human costumes

As I was driving home from my part-time job, i gave darling a call, and he sounded excited and demanded me to go downtown immediately!! so he told me about the doggie contest that was going to start in 10mins - and in my heart i was like - DAMN!!! we should ve gotten pooky a halloween costume at superstore last night when we were picking up ours.
so i stopped by home picked up pooky's "baseball jersey" and this blue hawaiian hula and flew my way downtown. and here we are......pooky said hi to lotsa very interesting dogs.....

im falling into that stage again

I NEED TO WHINE!!
I am very very drained these two weeks, have absolutely no time or energy to do anything! is like there is no balance between things, from 8 weeks of relaxing time (sometime boredom) to this crazy routine : work during the day then continued by apartment project at night.

and you are wondering why am i always bad mood and grumpy?

Its a big learning curve for me, as a software retard im working under this software department: yea although just as a tester, no crazy coding or programming languages to learn. But i honestly felt like an idiot infront of all these pro!

ok maybe i dont mind being an idiot as long as im learning something but as to learn i have to keep asking questions , feel like im pulling most ppl behind coz they are spending too much time trying to explain to this idiot. I can tell few ppls are so annoyed with me. I know i asked for this, and i dont regret, just feeling overwhelmed tats all....

doctor Vaughan said im putting too much pressure on myself. Geeez like i have a choice!?

hopefully this stage will pass soon, but at the same time, im still enjoying my job, just hv to be more thick face and keep bugging ppls with more of my stupid questions..

its been more than a week since i do some personal stuff like : blogging and checking emails! First week of work was fun ! fun as in overwhelmed and yet fascinated by all the new things that Im learning....nice working environment, nice helpful ppls, or should i say NICEEEE ppl, ngek ngek ngek!

besides that, we are "supposingly" to be dog sitting Toby for the weekend, becoz Tanya was "suppose" to take off to vancouver for couple of days.. last friday i returned home with a note and set of keys in my mailbox, when i called her, she freaking flew to calgary!!!!??? let me tell u the difference between vancouver and calgary, is 12 hours nonstop driving!! so obviously they are not going to be returning in town on sunday (even though they said they were). So guess what? apparently their car is broken, will only be out of the workshop on monday night, and they SHOULD be back on wed night, we'll see!

MIND ME! i dont mind having Toby around at all!! he's a huge gentle monster (140lbs)that plays so well with pooky, they kept each other company and tired each other out all the time!! remember when we were young we hv those sleepovers at frens or cousins' house? i think thats the case for them, coz on the first night they kept playing and playing till laaaaaaaaate at night!

in terms of the flea situation, i think we got it undercontrol.

i was very careless not to hv noticed earlier that pooky has been suffered from the attacks of those evil evil fleas!! not only him, I think we ve been bitten too!

Today I had proven it, after spending 5 minutes going through his belly, i finally found one crawling out!!! makes me so gerli!!! even though darling had just wash pooky thorougly last night, i cant help but throw him into another long bath. But i think he kinda enjoyed the full body massage though, coz i freakin scratched n scrubbed him for 15 mins b4 i rinsed him off.

To hope that i had kill all the evil fleas, but no!!! i found n killed another five after blow drying him!!

relieved really?

I freaking hate jet lagged, u know i used to be able to deal with it in 3-4 days, but now its taking at least a whole week!

Thanks to the sleeping drug i took last night, Im feeling all better this morning because i MANAGED to sleep till 730 am intead of waking up 4/5 am every freaking morning! Which had made me a grumpy bitch for the past few days.

poor darling was all excited for my return and when he came out with all these "lets do this! and do that tonight!" ideas, and I replied with this low energy voice " No, im too tired", totally bring his mood down.

Im starting work on the 10th of Oct, I asked to start earlier because i been having too long of a vacation, and I asked to take a course during the work term becoz otherwise this will prolong my graduation. Lynn said i shouldnt ask for too many thing b4 i even got my offer letter.

but unfortunately , they were unable to fullfill both of my requests. I didnt really care about starting early but the course that im not allowed to take!? I kept my work term options to only victoria this fall because I have to take this one course. They only offer it once a year, and I only have one last acedemic term to be done coming spring, so now i have to take this course next fall, which will prolong me of getting school done!!!

Im going to try if theres any other alternatives to go around taking this course earlier, like from other college or can it be subsidized with other similar courses.

why? why? why? why one thing has to come after another!? hopefully this will work out fine...

Once again, I am so unsatisfied with Air China's service, was warned about the bad reputation, it is bad enough that the transit duration in beijing airport is 8 hours, two hours b4 i was supposed to take off, i found out that theres a 4 HOURS DELAY!!! 4 FREAKING HOURS!!! thats fine too, but, but at least tell us a reason, or how about an apology!!!??? instead of slamming us around with that big ass snobish attitude, needless to mention abou the horrible customer service! *ptui!* never ever fly with them again, EVER!!

the good news is, I ve been placed! both company  i had interview with offer me a job!! I guess we were all desperate when it comes to the end of applying/hiring period. of coz i went with the higher pay, besides pay, i see a better learning opportunity with them - Scheider.

Called ACD systems late last night trying to change the date of the interview, it worries me abit when he told me that they are interviewing bunch of candidates the whole morning, and will let me know the outcome of those interviews.

phuket trip, tak jadi again! there seemed to be too many things stood in our way. Maybe is not meant to be. We were told that phuket should be fine, shouldnt be affected by what happened in bangkok. But then again, for the safe side, I wouldnt want to take the risk. So, we managed to convinced danny not to go alone too.

missed an interview opportunity, becoz the employer prefer to have face to face interview, but i have two coming up this week, managed to change the date of one interviews to next monday and hopefully i am able to change another one too.

update from yours truly

yes , we are taking off to phuket next wednesday, but instead of 4D/3N, we shorten it to 3D/2N, reason being is, the price was doubled due to "diff date diff air fare" policy, thats a total rip off isnt it?!

in order not to burn the 700 we already paid, we decided to shorten it and top up 580 ( i know is still quite alot), hopefully the trip will be worthwhile.

got both of my left wisdom teeth removed, was i nervous? HELL YEA!! i was holding my fists tight the whole time, and becoz the infection was not cleared up completely, i had to bear with abit of pain, but thank god for the jabs. Thank you Dr Yeoh and aunty for giving me such a good deal. (Yh's dad was the dentist)

Its been a tiring and irritated day. I realized my temper has gone shorter day by day, get ticked off really easily.

Its sad that this vacation is coming to the end as I am leaving next sat.Back to reality and work (which by the way i have not gotten a coop job yet). But Its been great, i get to spend alot of time with my mom and brother, it will be great if i can spend more time with both of my sisters if they werent so busy.

Somehow, it is harder to get the whole family to spend some time together nowadays, unlike those days.

phuket trip postponed

right now....yup! right at this moment....im suppose to be laying on a beach in phuket, enjoying sun shine, sipping magarita. BUT sometimes, somehow, shit happened, Danny was admitted to the hospital on the night b4 we supposed to take off, due to severe gastric. But anyhow, he 's fine now.

after writting an email together with hospital supporting document, air asia allowed us to pospond the air ticket with some penalty fees. But as for accomodation, that will hv to depend hotel, whether they allowed us to postpone, worst case scenario, we hv to spend the hotel money on our own, still better than nothing.

anyway, gonna call air asia now. wish me luck!


P/S: just read the weather forecast, phuket will be rainy in coming four days.

ouch, my back!!

went to sunway lagoon last weekend with bro and cousins, had a really good time with them besides i hurted my back (might be core spine) during the surf session, someone literally landed their surfboard on my back and i was "back stabbed" by the fins

it hurted so bad that i almost cry.....

going for X-ray tomorrow, hopefully is nothing serious so that there wont be any long term effect.

other than that, everything is great, danny is back today and we had a really good time!

going to phuket next tuesday, cant wait cant wait!!
