Camped at Cowichan Lake

it was such a good weekend, it was Lex's first camp trip.

When we first driving around the camp ground looking for the perfect site, We so wanted one by the lake, but the thought was put aside after Lex jumped out from the window of a moving car and bolted to the lake - thats how much he loves water!

and we found one bout 2 mins walk to the lake.

ahhhhh,, this is life~~ except that the hammock now almost touching the ground and we had to re-do it again.

When the hammock was finally up again, doggies were tired from the chasing game.

Then we went swimming by the lake, it was gorgeous!

Pooky not big fan of water, he decided to stay by the beach and dig up some rocks for his collection

ok! we are satisfied with the playing now..

No pictures of camp fire - I was so sleepy sitting by the fire, darling have to pinch me constantly to keep me awake.

Asshole of the year

I ve been short tempered lately, things that i usually bite my teeth and let go tend to piss me off twice as much!

i just had a big fight with this stranger man in the field near my house, he is the first stranger i ever yelled yet, i mean from the top of my lung, I mean he freakin kicked my dog coz pooky was chasing after his kite? Is not only that, his tone from the very beginning was very very rude,

"your dog doesnt come back when you called"

"you will have to keep your dog in the vehicle, and keep your dogs away from me"

"if he comes near me again, im gonnna F***** kick him"

and of coz pooky continued to chase after his kite and he kicked him...kicked a small dog infront of his two daughters and me, I really feel like whacking him with a baseball bat.

what kinda asshole is that!?

"what a great father you have! " thats all I kept yelling back at is daughters.

I seriously dunno what else can I do... deep deep down inside, I feel like beating him till death with his blood splashes across the football field. but obviously that is not the solution - not coz i have mercy towards this kinda asshole, is because that will got me into trouble. (and lets not also forget the fact tat he is twice my size)

Came home, not having to bitch about it happily and seems like crying out loud doesnt make me feel any better.

Poor Lex

Is 12.o0pm and you are having a lunch meeting - chewing on your overnight fried chicken followed by spoonfull of rice - you are listening to your chair but your mind just wondered off....

To my poor Lex! After the call from darling -" im taking Lex to emergency vet hospital because his face, eyes swell up until he couldnt close his jaw and open his eyes.

I was dead worried the whole time - when i finally get off the 1 hour - which seem like 3 hours long meeting, I saw two missed calls in my phone, and it was from the same number that Im not familiar with.

*Instinct* that must be from the vet, darling tried to reach me at the vet, something bad must ve happened!! *GASPED*

i dialed the number back and found out that it was INDEED from the vet hospital. When I called, a nurse answered and told me my dog and husband had left.

Pheeeeeeeew!

Poor thing is allergic to Bee stung, and he was stung by one this morning thats why it caused all these balloon blowing case around his face, tongue and probably his tonsil too.

I was very relieved until i finally got to talk to darling and know that everything is ok, Lex is sleeping from the two shots. I was still uneasy - keep have my mind on my poor little baby.

and suddenly it hit me that what is like to be a mom. Seriously that feeling is so sam tong.

I left work earlier today coz i couldnt take it anymore, i had to see Lex!

Finally i got to the store, lex was already hyper at the back jumping up to greet me, when he first popped up, he was like from this "big eyes caucasian or east indian" to this "chinese mata sepet" - he look so different !!! I couldnt see his eyes and it was all still pretty swell. But according to darling he was so much better, it was so must worse as he was showing teeth. and having hard time to breath.

I got the feeling now when ur worry about ur love ones....but he is almost healed now.

Our first summer dip

After spending all day in the sun yesterday and some heat this morning - my body is literally hot! u know how it absorbed all the heat and you just feel like hot hot hot!

After the 7Km walk this morning, I kept pestering darling to go swimming at the lake. I know the doggies will love it! well at least Lex , not so much Pooky.

We hiked up to a spot where there isnt that many peoples.

Lex and Pooky testing out the water, I know the heat been killing them lately too, and they were really tempted to go in.

Finally they did!! big Splash!

The Water is kinda cool, but it feeeel soooo great!

This is their first summer swim, we are so surprised Pooky is enjoying this so much! he used to be afraid of water...but all of us went in kinda encouraged him and he was like "hey! this is fun!"

But look at Pooky! he looks hilarious !!! so different is like i dont know him anymore,look at those eyes!

Ahhhh this really feels great! my body cooled off so much after a 30 mins dip.

There has been alot of family dinners lately, which is good for me! i dont have to cook and get to eat good food, yesterday we went to our favorite Taiwanese restaurant.

Occasion - Uncle Rick n his wife visiting from Australia, they bought us yummy chocolate and this yogurt treats for the doggies!

Lazy part time housewives' solution!

Monday, Ma and Pa made san tong sui kao, this is their ancestor's secret recipe - we all loved it!

Everything made from scratch n nicely wrapped

you can boil or pan fry them
Everybody helped out in the kitchen

Finished products! yummm~ darling fried those sui kao, he's very patient in cooking and the things he fried usually looks very good!

Yesterday we went grocery shopping at Costco (kinda like Macro) and bought almost 300$ worth of food!! Pa mentioned something in the car, this is like 900rm!!!

Gosh I didnt realize that but after you convert it, that is really too much to be spending just on food, and we didnt buy any lebih stuff, just all very essential and basic necessities like meats, ham, cheese, rice etc...


Thanks to his lazy wife that hasnt been cooking much.... so darling came up with this idea to solve lazy wives' problem - how thoughtful? he suggested that we got whole bunch of meats and cooked them all then freeze them so we can use whenever we want. In that case - we always have food ready to go, just fry some vege or some other small side dish if I AM not too lazy.

So I split this mission into two days work, coz after 2 hours of grocery shopping, i got really tired on day 1 - but i still made whole bunch of masala chicken (I know i made this way too often but is everybody's favourite and our choice too!)

So now our freezer look like this - 3 big tubs of masala and some other uncooked meat.

Day 2- I made oyster sauce chicken with mushrooms n carrots just so we got some vege too.

and got whole bunch of cheap shanghai yu choy from china town.

Yea this is our normal portion for each meal, we do eat alot!

Lex was in this position for half an hour, he does enjoy his little sight seeing -
seem like a very sentimental dog =), him enjoying his deep thoughts....

ouch !

Darling is very good with western menu, he made the best speghetti, well actually he made the best fettucine carbonara.

Sometime last week, me made Pasta...

Looks yummy right? and it tasted even yummier!!!

And then yesterday he complained that I havent been cooking those rice n dish for quite sometime, so i tot tonight i'd make him his favourite dish - Massala Chicken (extra spicy)

Usually i only grind garlic, onion n ginger - but this time i backside itchy and wanted to add some basil leaves since we bought the whole plant last week.

U know I once used to say that I relief my stree my chopping chickens and I always imagine why if i chop my whole finger off?

While chopping the basil leaves, I guess i was half asleep and I almost chopped the tip of my finger off, well of coz i didnt! big part of my nail came off and it was bleeeeeeeding!! and guess it was the garlic, or wat not - it stings!!!!! gosh my tears started rolling down, hurts so bad!!!

Duwanna show you the gross flashy part - well actually we had to put bandage to stop the bleeding so no time or no mood to snap photo -

hahaha i suddenly picture this scenary -imagine i chopped my finger off and the first thing i yelled while holding up the bloody hand (literally) "BRING MY CAMERA FASTER!" that would ve been hardcore!

coz i cutted my hand pretty badly, i decided to remember what i cooked tonight

It ll be nice to eat with hand with some churtney right? but i didnt, maybe i cooked this with blood, i enjoyed it alot and it tasted extra nice!

I dunno what they were looking at but they drove me nuts 5am this morning barking at something out the window.
