Law test

Today I finished my second test - Engineering Law.

Felt so good after knowing all the legal rights and elements of contracts and court system in BC and Canada. If i want I could go for law school for 3 more years and i ll be a lawyer!! coz minimum requirement is a 4 years degree!

but urg, to be doing this for entire 3 years? is gonna drive me nuts! Had such a long nap after the exam coz I hardly sleep last night, although im not sure how long the material gonna stay in my memory since i cramped all the materials in two days ( remember? only attend 4 classes in the whole semester)

ok enough of nerdy talk...well since we are there, we had a discussion over lunch yesterday about nerdiness... lets pretend below is scale to nerdiness

Oh boy, two more to go, im gonna miss these exam periods- I ve decided to take more courses in the summer learn a few programming language for self improvement. Im thinking to attend classes without have to pay, coz I duwanna be paying 600$ when i dun need it in my transcript.

Gosh Nicole Nicole...what has gotten into you, you had 5 days till your next exam and you had blown 3 days away, thats right! 3 full days!

i seriously feel like slapping myself, all I been doing is play with the dogs, opening the fridge hundreds times a day, walked around the house aimlessly, watch movies, napping, surf net, blog n blog n blog - stupid pointless entries which will then lead to last but not least snapping photos.

And I had just committed a crime which excites me - I sneaked into school's garden and took whole bunch of tulips! those tulips u seen in previous entry? nop i didnt buy those, but so cheee kek!!! in my dark hoodie watching out for the security guards, haha

and yet, i wasnt studying..........the next one is useless engr law which i only been to class 4 times the entire semester, and Im aiming for an A- errrmmm not too greedy lah hor?

Project saviour and what are we guna do with that piece of junk?

What a day !

Firstly, something is very wrong with the van, it has this funny noise from the engine and sometime it wont go even is in the "drive" gear. I drove that piece of junk around getting honk all the time!

"Calm down !!!! cant you see the double signal!?!?"

sent it in to the workshop and is the gear box! - when you hear gear box you think of $$$$$ with wings.. it cost bloody 3k!!!! seriously for that piece of junk? we might as well get a new car.

Darling is so stress with this right now, I think we gonna renew S's car insurance and use it for now until she's back. At least or hopefully ill be working for few months already then and got some income... I promise darling ill get you ur car.

But the good news is, I found this guy online and he's incredibly helpful with my project - He's expert in AVR chip and been a great big help !! Even more so than some of my team members. urg! anyway, thanks alot Dimitris.

Sometime ago.... I sent out this email to the undergraduate adviser...

Good day,

I hope you don’t find this amusing but I has just spoke to my mom on the phone (in Malaysia) after having my wedding banquet booked for January 08 (it has to be booked one year a head due to peak season). My initial intention is to tell her the good news – that we found a date and a nice venue.

It came to my shock when she found out that my convocation is going to be on June 2008 and INSISTED we have our wedding after school- my convocation. I didn’t think it was going to be such a big deal to her. And there is no way I could do this against her way.

Anyway, the only reason that is delaying my convocation is ONE course – Elec 380 which is offered once a year (in the fall), I will really appreciate it if an exception could be make to replace this course with any of the ELEC Elective List A offer in the summer, so I could make it to the November 07 convocation, which will be perfect for our wedding on January 08.

Please kindly help us with this issue as a penalty will be charged if we would to cancel the booked banquet. Your help is highly appreciated.

and after spoken to both the adviser, Christine and acting chair, Dr Zielinski in ece department...

It sounded pretty positive coz they both are very supportive about this , however the decision is not made by them, is the chairman - Dr Dimopoulos.

which by the way, dont you just love the name of all this wise men in ece department

anyway back to the topic - as i was saying..everything sounded pretty positive until I met up with Dr Dimopoulos - the wise guy who made the decision and he said NO to me! (mind you, the course I was going to take instead of 380 is a fourth year course which needed 380 as one of the pre-reqs)

I was told that he's a very very conservative man, he doesnt approve program mod very often. But is he made out of rock or what after knowing that there is sooooo much penalty needed to be paid!?!? and seriously what is that one lousy course gonna do to our degree?

After all the pleading, and persuading - he still said no...UNLESS! I could prove to him I ve taken similar course before...turned out, yes! I ve taken it, why didnt I think if UTM, I was there for 3 years, 5 semester, 30 courses!! thats alot more than any other regular diploma - but when i was preparing the course outline...I looked through my old Transcript from UTM, " wow, how come I dont remember any of these courses I ve taken? What had I learned?"

And does it f***ing matter that I ve taken this course, uuummm..said 5 or 6 years ago? COZ I ABSOLUTELY DONT REMEMBER ANYTHING!! and why does it matter so much or even bother to check on something that I dont hv any trace of memory on?

Doesnt make sense - anyway whatever works (hopefully) and makes him happy...

*finger crossed* hopefully we ll hear good news on Monday.

can u take a shower at work?

I had started my side "career" ever since i first started set foot in Canada - House cleaning and baby sitting because I was under the table then and these jobs are very private and good money.

I fell in love so much with the job and i kept it till even now...flexible hours, i could decide when to come and only 3 hours will worth 5 hours of retail work in the mall.

Guess what I did today when I was working for one of my clients? I washed my hair coz she has so much hair product!!! then i blow dry them by turning on the vacuum to cover the noise from the blow dryer - have I gone insane or what? but i smell so good and clean afterwards haha!

I even thought of an excuse just in case she found out, i could tell her " oh i accidentally dip part of my hair to the toilet bowl while bending too forward to wash underneath , so i had to wash my hair!! im sure she'll understand...but m i ever gross or what!?!?!?

But in Schneider, they even have shower room for the employee just incase they wanna go out for a run during lunch time, or alot of them biked to work and wanted to wash away all the smelly sweat b4 start work, what a facility eh?!

And........

Guess what m I gonna be working on for the next little while...

Look how cool this kit is? Theres a rack to go on top of the chip and you can plug in the bus connector and connect to ur computer serial port with a converter - then u are ready to program you chip!!

errrr sorry bout the nerdy talk, good luck to me as I only have two weeks to get this done and I have yet to figure them out. On top of that, Im also incharge of the project website - gosh, stress stress stress!!

Its another Friday - whooo ray! I always love Friday, esp the Friday where you officially finished with all your midterms!

So as usual we will sit down together and have our final year project meeting. (we do that almost everyweek) - to think that 5 of us in one project and meet up every week, our project should be flying or at least on track.

But NO! coz we got too many talkers in the group - meeting doesnt mean you going to get ur work done, of coz there are one or two guys that's pounding on coding and researching...

Having one or two of those peoples who comes to meeting and questioning other's work and commenting on how they should change this and that ...thats FREAKING PISSING ME OFF!!
Yea ok, so why dont you make the changes - and he ll spend half an hour or more if necessary to push back! HEY aneh! ur not the only one have midterms ok? all of us do! I felt bad for Harun..

I wish i could help more but as i mention Im a retard when it comes to coding - Thus im in charge of hardware and designing the website. So today we finally split up in two teams - software and hardware, when I asked him " So which one are u in? "

he STILL never gives an answer! "um, i can help with both...."

There will be some challenges coming up for me, coz i ve picked up the task of programming the IC chip. Should be pretty simple but still, steep learning curve for me -well I gotto start somewhere right? "stealing" or "copying" others code in the past 3 years is not bring me anywhere....and has finally or came and bite me in the ass....
