but today in class, all i could think of is what my family is doing now, what will they be doing tomorrow, how was the party at aunts place last night....
and really is almost like a torture to myself, n i started scribble on this piece of paper bout how bad i want to be home, n lotsa other craps....n suddenly i felt weird bout doing this. well i guess in a way is like writting a journal, or talking to myself in a piece of paper....

on cny eve, it was my birthday, yesss!! happy birthday to me!! we went to the chinese buffet again (the one with the crabs!!) , uncle steve n aunt dell got me bouquet of flower , a present and a card!! inside the card there were whole bunch of
lottery ticket which unfortunately i won none of them!!!
then we came home n cut cake!! hehee, or more importantly, more presents!!

on cny day morning, darling last minute decided not to open the store, so all of us went to empress hotel for afternoon tea, geeeeeeeez!! it cost 40$ per person to hv tea n few pastry n sandwiches!! so not worth it!! but apparently is pretty famous
nice tea set up.these tea china is given from prince George in 1915. i feel like the show " uptown girl"

this morning when dr zielinski came in and asked to see me after the class, there was this unpleasent feeling, flash back of elementary school or high school when the teachers asked to see u and u knew u did something wrong.
so I was in panic the entire class, until the pile of assignments last week passed back and i couldnt find mine, i knew exactly what happened, see the thing is, i took this course last year and i ve done the first two assignments had they had been marked, so what i did this year was, liquid-papered the red ink and handed it in, and i did the same thing for assignment two too!!
so he sat down with me n asked if i did my own assignment, so i explained, yes i did but i did it last year bla bla bla, at the end
him: " well i just wanted to make sure u didnt get somebody else n hand it in."
me:" yes i understand, and from assignment 3 onwards , they r untouched"
him:" oh? so u did the same thing for assignment 2 too!? "
me: (nervous laughter)"yes i did"
him:(look dissapointed) " ok, bye!"
phhheeeeeeeeeew! i mean is nice that he cares so much, but now i know im in his black list!!!! ahhhhhh!!! and the fact that he knew i was here last year, he might not give the same or similar exams or midterms which in other words, i couldnt refer to my frens last year mid term!!!

cute
one of the most boring professor did something really cute today, he usually present his lectures with a mini microphone clicked on his lovely classic sweater.
but today when the microphone made a high pitch feedback sound when he was too close the the speaker, he nodded down n said :"shhhhhh!!" to the microphone, i mean he did it spontaneously, then he quickly realised n looked kinda embarassed...haha
sometime i wish i hv a camera phone which doesnt make a "chik chak" sound when i take a picture, so i could secretly taking pictures of funny ppls in the class. for example, this guy infront of me took out his lunch box in the middle of class, n he lined up 3 low fat yogurts on his desk, n started finishing each of them in 3 scoops, that kinda reminded me of Joey from "friends" , and the guy next to him hv the same low fat yogurt too!
whats the deal with guys n low fat yogurt?
anyway i bought a highlight kit last two weeks but was too shaky to do it myself, i mean dye is ok, i always done my own dye job (i mean darling did it for me) , but last night i finally did it!! , put on the cap n pulling the streaks one by one from like hundreds holes definately took quite an effort n pain.
but it turned out.....
and dinner for tonight...something i hadnt had for long time! n i can never made it as nice as mom's.

King Kong
Last night, we went for a movie, thats right a late night movie a dayb4 test day. I been wanted to watch this movie, it gives me flash backs bout my childhood, how much i used to love KING KONG!! but of coz last time one more cartoonish but i still enjoyed alot, comparing to this high quality production, not only KING KONG we r watching but also dinosaurs and huge giant insects and giant yucky cacing.
the movie was quite touching, i almost cried ,( now i said almost!), most of the scenes between king kong and Anne Darrow (the beauty) was this amazing eyes contacts, no words were spoken of coz besides -beautiful~ , and i esp love the action between 3 tyrannosaurus and KING KONG. (the shoot was bit shaky though)...and huge flash back when king kong was climbing up this tall building in the city......overall two thumbs high up!

was suppose to wake up at 6 this morning to study for my test since i only spent like an hour on it yesterday, but ended up hitting the snooze button for like million times and woke up at 8am n started the morning panic!
left the test earlier(like 20 minutes after, wasnt too bad though) and came web surfing, and i found that Malaysia has been producing its own horror film, not any ordinary in ciplang vcds ones, but those which will actually show in theatre.
ohhhh i wanna watch!!! somebody pls be kind enough to send me the vcds or dvds preferbably
legend of the red curse, from sarawak.
not sure if this one is malaysia's production though.

terrible tenant
this time of the day, as planned im stuck in the library for probably the next four hours or so praparing my 10% test tomorrow...yada yada yada. but hey! lets stop n blog!
not that i have anything special to take note but whats better excuse to take a break? skipped the class this morning, coz i had a beer b4 bed time n kinda slept in this morning. Came in half an hour late for the second class coz we went breakfast at my campus which by the way cream of chicken this morning was yuuuuuuuuuum~
Spoke to our landlord yesterday, and he has kinda changed his mind bout selling his place again, now we know what the problem was, he wanted more money!! 40K more! geeeeeeeez im not sure if we can do that, but, theres no other investment than the current place we r renting right now. Carey rd is very nice, but location wise n storage n square footage,or more importantly- better investment! cant compete with Scott - althought it is not a very good family house but who cares, we r not gonna be in for long..... mmmmmmmm changes changes, we gotto start thinking again.
oh by the way, i cant see the face of our "caring", "sweet" neighbour if he finds out this whole buying thing is in progress again! wait a minute, maybe we should only let him know when its dealed, so he wont get to do anything behind us, sneaky sneaky snake!
is not easy to be a landlord, finding one tenant that will be there for long term is one thing, another good example is : darling's parent just bought over this fourplex property, and a month ago had rented one of the unit to this young couple, who seemed really nice. but they r very bad with their payment, as bad as no payment has been made at all!, so his dad had no choice but to be very harsh n give them 3 days to clear it or be gone!so, they left in the middle of the night. and not only that, they splashes spaghetti sauce all over the wall n cereal on the floor. made a freaking big mess b4 they left. what kinda position r they in to do such thing where they just a month's free place to stay?
as annoying as our neighbour is, we cant deny the fact that he 's a very good tenant, he s suffering from ms which he has gotten much weaker over the past year.how long will he be here? we dunno..
anyway back to work, i hv 30 pages to read! The conductivity of a semiconductor increased by 'doping' .......... n-type, p-type, zzzzzzzz..........

pooky 's accident swim
oh god, did absolutely nothing this weekend and i got a test on tuesday, im taking the advantage of the fact that is on tuesday so i will have one more day which is tomorrow to do some study.
went out with wei for shopping n lunch today, got mom a birthday present n some good deals from body shop, perfume for 4$! came home bout 530pm n nap again, darling n pooky went out to thetis lake to hv a long walk with jim n nate, came home to me still sleeping n woke me up with the smell of burger king!! mmmmm~ there isnt any burger king in town, the closest r bout 20 mins drive which is where thetis lake is.
darling :" bi!! wake up,(n stick the whopper on my face)"
me :" (BIG SMILE!)"
darling:" pooky went for his first swim just now!"
me: " huh!? WHAT!?IS WINTER!!"
darling:" i know, we were by the lake, jim n me were talking n suddenly we heard the sound *POLOM!* so we turned around n saw pooky swimming there in circle with his eyes freaking big, he was so scared!"
me:" he jumped for swim or he fell down there?"
darling:" he fell down la, he was playing at the edge there"

call grandma just now, spoke to aunt n grandma for quite a while, the phone rang for a whole b4 somebody picked up, and the cny songs was blasting loudly at the background....grrrr!!! granny was giving me this lecture , saying when i was back home, i was never home, get it? nagging bout me not spending enough time with family bla bla bla.....i knew who's behind this! IS MOM!!! spoke to her two days ago,
me:" so how's preparation? bought big fish, big prawns n shark fin already?"
mom:" yea im not cooking this year, we r going out for dinner, got shark fin, abalone...."
me: " wahhhhhhhh, i think in the past 25 years! (ahem! revealed my age) this is the first time u are eating out for reunion dinner? AND I WONT BE HOME!!"
mom: " yea la, this year did abit better mahh,, soooo! wat time is ur flight huh, wat time r u arriving on ny's eve?"

I ve received the last book that i purchased from ebay, turned out to be, it is a SOLUTION MANUAL intead of a text book that i expected! I am so furious about that, coz i been going weeks without the text in class, checked my purchased status again hopefully they had made a mistake, but they didnt, if u click on the image to enlarge the book, it said solution manual on the cover, but the only PROBLEM is!!
THEY DID NOT FUCKING STATE ON THE TITLE OF ITEM!!
so when i searched for it, that was was appear and was increadibly cheap!! mann i tot i had a deal.
Im so gonna leave a negative feedback and will never ever deal with these liars again!!

me and my nap
whats wrong with me, these days i seemed to hook up with this "napping in the afternoon" thing, mind you when i said nap is at least 2 hours long!! anyway, came home yesterday with two assignment due today, i just pushed the thought aside and went to bed straight, yea i sounded tired huh, the truth is, i been sleeping too much!
woke up 330 in the afternoon and started struggle with my homework, not a clue but managed to finish it just b4 darling came home. Because we had an appointment with our realter in the evening, to view carey rd unit again, coz we didnt have a chance the basement lot the last time, only this time uncle steve n his parent came along.
yea yea yea not bad, everybody likes it, the only problem is no storage. well i guess that can be solve...anyway still far yet to confirm anything.
I made curry laksa for everybody , not bad coz it only took me half an hour for the whole process..this time with ikan bilis cubes, it tasted alot better than the last time and is alot healthier in a way coz i only need to put 2 cans of coconut milk instead of 4.
so everybody enjoyed that alot n we finished everything, so i had to make ginger beef fried noodle later of the night for tomorrow's lunch, coz too leceh to wake up early n cook. excuse me who r u kidding! 5 mins of sleep is precious to me !!
anyway i came in class late this morning, and at the end of the class, the professor refused to take our assignments coz we were suppose to hand in at the beginning of the class, so since there are so many of us, he decided to give us 50% something like that, so i asked this girl also handed late " so we just gonna get 50% of it? the day is still early, i prolly whine more at the end of the day.
woke up 330 in the afternoon and started struggle with my homework, not a clue but managed to finish it just b4 darling came home. Because we had an appointment with our realter in the evening, to view carey rd unit again, coz we didnt have a chance the basement lot the last time, only this time uncle steve n his parent came along.
yea yea yea not bad, everybody likes it, the only problem is no storage. well i guess that can be solve...anyway still far yet to confirm anything.
I made curry laksa for everybody , not bad coz it only took me half an hour for the whole process..this time with ikan bilis cubes, it tasted alot better than the last time and is alot healthier in a way coz i only need to put 2 cans of coconut milk instead of 4.
so everybody enjoyed that alot n we finished everything, so i had to make ginger beef fried noodle later of the night for tomorrow's lunch, coz too leceh to wake up early n cook. excuse me who r u kidding! 5 mins of sleep is precious to me !!
anyway i came in class late this morning, and at the end of the class, the professor refused to take our assignments coz we were suppose to hand in at the beginning of the class, so since there are so many of us, he decided to give us 50% something like that, so i asked this girl also handed late " so we just gonna get 50% of it? " and she was very unfriendly : " whatever, i dont care, is not like its worth anything!"

tub accident, ouch~my back!
went to the gym yesterday after a loooooooooong nap * yawn~* and i was just right in time for a new class, body pumb, i was like "OMG! i have to try out " hopefully it ll be the same as ff, turned out to be, not exactly the same but similar, plus there were only 4 ppls in that class....
the instructor's name is Nicole too,who by the way look like Michelle Galler, spoke to her after the class and she told me to bring more frens in next week, yea if i have frens.
came home to pooky's mess again, my gawd, we were just gone for an hour and he made a mess, we just changed his food and his shit is even more smelly now!
so while cleaning the floor, i might as well clean the whole bathroom since it has been a while. so i cleaned the sink, tub and toilet bowl. After cleaning, i took a shower, i think i didnt rinse the bath tub properly , figured that we were going to shower thru anyway. but it was way too slipperly so i had quite a serious accident, i slipped n landed my back waist on the edge of the tub, yup my whole body weight from 3 ft high. for a while i tot i broke my back. Darling saw it happened and went " OMG! ARE U OK??? SAY SOMETHING! SAY SOMETHING!!", i was in so much pain that i couldnt even speak for a while.
thank god i didnt break anything, but cant bend my back right now...
so we continued our "friends" marathon and came across this episode "the one with all the cheesecakes" suddenly we were craving for one, so we stopped the show n run to thrifty (which by the way made very good cakes), we wanted to buy a whole cake but couldnt decide which flavour we wanted, so we bought those mini ones, with 3 different flavours.
Vanilla bean, chocolate and blueberry lemon. yummm~

just finished my assignment, while i was at it, was chatting with Sean, sighhhh i can really picture the cny atmosphere just by talking to them. ahhhhhhhh i miss it.
this is gonna be the first year im not spending cny at home with family, i know i said that last year, but then a month b4 cny i decided to fly back. Not going to make the same mistake again, well i wouldnt say is a mistake, coz i had alot of fun! no regrets for sure!
is a week b4 cny, so theres no possibility of any change of plan, at least i wont let it happen, ppl esp mom must be crazy busy running around, getting all the stuff together, u know shark fin, big fishes, big prawns, meats n all other stuff for big fat feast! decorating the house...prepare ang paos, most fun of all, getting new clothes!! which i will be missing every single one of them.
sighhhh happy cny folks.....

"problem" children
ok ppl, here i am gonna whine about school again.
i mean hey is just the beginning, what izzit to whine about right? u think eh?
Im officially stuck with bunch of "problem children" , oh gosh every single classes , those problems n questions they had to throw at the professors were kinda too much! i mean i can actually see the annoyed( or panic) faces of those teachers.
i have this gut feeling that we wont be able to finish our syllabuses if these ppl keep doing that. started to annoy me really. some of them r just stupid questions! questions that are not even relavent but just being asked to make themselves look smart. urg! fuck off!
this is really wasting my time, and when i was just contemplating about dropping a course, i had just realised that the deadline of dropping courses was yesterday!! well guess now i had no choice but to strike the best i could.
anyway back to homework.

pictures pictures!!
ok now i managed to upload tonnes of photos into photobucket.
lets start with the first day,we settled with our task which is the whole reason of us taking this trip - drop all the furnitures n mattress to Kenny's (darling's cousin) place. Got his room all setted up, poorthing been sleeping on sleeping bag on carpet, without pillow or nothing for the past month, now at least he has got a room! met his room mates (from malaysia too) - bruce n april.
now we can form a malaysian makan gang!
we went to Ikea, bought a shower curtain, (old one been chewed by pooky), a drawers storage n 4 cocktail glasses.
then first makan stop - greek food, ppls were bit impatient bout me taking pictures slowly coz we were starving like balls, hehe

Grilled Chicken lunch - for April n me
big ass Calamari Dinner - for Darling, look at the amount of calamari , even covered all the rice; everybody kept grabbing his calamari and there were still alot left on his plate!!
mmmmmmmmmmm~~ cant wait to start~~
after that lunch, everybody was stuffed n happy!!
then we met up with How n Jase went to a park to play with pooky for abit (yup all 8 of us in freezing cold windy day) , poor thing has been stucked in the van without food or water the whole first day.
then we proceeded to metro town for shopping n sun pin digest our food.

i bought pair of levi's jeans n got it hemmed for 3 extra dollars, ok all this jean thing start from the ferry, i saw this girl was wearing this nice cutting pair of levi's jean, n i starred at her butt for the longest time n managed to find the last two number is 75, so i went to Levi's in metrotown n hunt for it but unfortunately , they dont hv anything like tat, so i ended up picked one super low waist for 29$!!!!
that night , How brought all of us to a chinese restaurant for late night supper, they ordered steamed fish, crabs n bunch of other stuff!!! and i was still full from lunch!!! (Mind u , i shared lunch with April)
then we went to liquor store to store up for tonite's real party, at kenny, brunce n april's house. the night was early for me, coz i went to bed bout 1am, damn sleepy, but some of them party till 6 in the morning, darling n pooky were ones of them.
next day, me , darling n pooky stopped by roots Factory Outlet. and we got awesome awesome deal, i bought 3 sweatpants for 15$ each!! n darling got 3 sweaters for below 30$ each n two toques for 5$ each, we r talking bout roots!!! fine winter clothing n sport wear!! oh~ i love vancouver!
then met up with the gang , third makan stop - banana leaf , the malaysian cuisine!!!
went in the restaurant, waiters r in those malay songkok wear (shit forgot wat its called!!) , waitresses r in baju kebayah, ohhh this feels like home~
the mee goreng was daaaaaaamn good!!
but cannot beat the nasi lemak, seriously!! damn goood! got fried sotong, big fish fillet, kari kambing n prawns!!!!!!
darling, kenny n bruce ate with hands n waiters were looking at them in a weird way, coz is quite a nice restaurant.
big group pictures, all of us had nasi lemak,look at our lips all bengkak abit, sambal damn spicy wei!
kenny, bruce n april. sighh feel old hanging out with them.
went to metrotown again after lunch, to pick up my jeans n second round shopping n food digesting. but darling met up with joe for coffee.
we caught the last ferry home, took a walk with pooky by the beach on a cold winter night while waiting for ferry ( we were an hour n half early!)
we were so tired that we just stayed in the car the whole time while sailing. wat a nice nap!!
we r home with shopping bags!!!!
darling got two perfumes, for super good deal, 50%-70%, diesel n armani aqua
his super good deal sweaters
my super good deal sweat pants
my blingaling earings ( i bought alot of them n guess who am i sharing with? )
n our ikea products!!
last but not least, pooky's new pillow bed!

urg! my god im telling ya, is like a food heaven for us, let me put it this way, i dont dare to step onto the weighing machine since i came back.
wanted to upload those pictures but photobucket was down last night, perhaps i ll do it tonight.
overall, lotsa shopping n eating. and darling took another day off on monday , it was such a relaxing day, i went to school at 830 in the morning, continue sleeping when i came back till bout 130pm. oooo~ heaven!
im skipping class right now. too lazy n sleepy, the vanilla cappucino we bought from costco yesterday is not affective enought in terms of caffeine wise. if i drink a cup of those every morning im gonna be putting on 5 lbs in the next month! yess, is that sweet!

Van, here I come (again!)
we had decided to go Vancouver tomorrow morning, so i had to cancel the work tomorrow n go in today instead, it was a last minute decision which was made on the way to school. I skipped a class to make up for the work. and b4 i left, Muneeza gave me this envelope n said :" this is from our family to u guys, i was suppose to do this a week after ramadan but i was just too busy and it slipped my mind" , awwwwwww~ how nice, last year, she gave me 20$ so i assumed it was a cheque inside this time too, but no! even better, it's a $50 gift certificate from a grill bar in town that i been wanting to try!! so i suggest that we use it on my birthday but it just hitted me that my birthday happens to be on cny eve, so we r suppose to have reunion dinner and mom had decided to go to purple garden (the chinese buffet with unlimited crabs!!) and sun pin celebrate my birthday , hehehee...wonder if im gonna get lotsa presents this year? i guess not~
see the "alcohol is not included" note? heheh they happened to be Muslim family. but i love them!
after Khan, i rushed to Lily's about 1pm for another 3 hours of cleaning. in the middle of that, i was starving like hell, so i went up to Lily :" i hate to ask u this but i was so rush n didnt hv time to hv breakfast nor lunch, do u hv something that i can eat?"
and she was like " suuuuuuuuureeee, we hv berry muffins, cinammon raisin rolls, cracker n cheese....ill just put them out n u can help urself "
"thank youuuuuuuu so much!"
after a while i went down to the kitchen, and she put up lotsa food on the table, muffins, cinammon raisin rolls, crackers, whole block of cheddar, n apple juice.....ohhhhhh my god, i happily helped myself with a muffin ,3 slices of cheese with 6 crackers and half a glass of apple juice, *buuuuuuuuuuurp!*
i then happily returned to work! hehe
we had bubble bath tonight n pooky joined us!
look at him soaking wet! he look so much slimmer n different
i dried him with towel, look how fluffy he is~
im going to vancouver for the weekend!! peace y'all!!
